Artist Bio
Ansley King was born and raised in Loganville, Georgia. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of North Georgia, where she has exhibited her work in 15 shows.
Her interdisciplinary practice explores themes of nature, human connection, and the impact of contemporary life through sculpture, installation, printmaking, and painting. King’s work has been included in regional group exhibitions and publications, such as Interconnected magazine, and in community-based events, such as the annual Bear on the Square Festival in Dahlonega, Georgia. King has also collaborated with fellow UNG artist Ruth Phillips. Together, they curated their own exhibition, Art Breeds Art, in the Hansford Gallery.
Additionally, King has earned multiple awards, including the Chris Gore Art Scholarship and 4th place in the Annual Hal B. Rhodes Student Exhibition for her piece Among the Trees. King’s work emphasizes moments of presence and connection within an increasingly fast-paced world.
